Calgary Police Seek Help in High-Value Handbike Theft Case

Calgary is buzzing with calls for public support as authorities work to identify two men involved in the theft of a $35,000 custom carbon fibre handbike. On September 8, 2025, at about 2:30 a.m., the suspects broke into an underground parking garage on the 1300 block of 16 Avenue S.W. Surveillance shows them later pushing the bike near 7 Avenue S.W. The stolen handbike, vital for a para-cycling athlete, was fitted with Canadian national team components. Both men are described as about 30 years old, slim, and stand between 5’8” to 6’ tall.
