CTRAIN Platform Assault: Charges Laid!

Charges have been laid in a shocking random assault at Marlborough CTrain Station. On Friday, July 11, 2025, at around 4:25 p.m., a man was attacked from behind while waiting on the platform at 889 36 St. N.E. The victim briefly lost consciousness and was hospitalized but is now stable. Thanks to public tips, Liam James ROONEY, 28, from Calgary, has been charged with assault. He's set to appear in court on Wednesday, Oct. 15, 2025. Why this matters: Safety on public transit is crucial for all Calgarians.
