Around 6:20 p.m., he was approached by a man and woman claiming to need gas money. Offering jewelry as collateral, they took cash and disappeared. When the victim couldn't contact them the next day, he called the police. The swift investigation, supported by the RCMP, led to the arrest of Constantin Miclescu and Claudia Sirbu in Olds, Alberta. Both from Scarborough, Ontario, they are charged with fraud under $5,000. They’re set to appear in court on October 10.
