Calgary Stands Against Hate: Help Solve These Crimes

Here is one that comes from the Calgary Police Service! They're seeking your help with two hate-motivated assaults that occurred downtown this past summer. On July 11, 2025, a woman faced threats on Eighth Avenue S.E. when a man confronted her with inappropriate comments. Just days later, on July 24, 2024, another woman was racially insulted and spat on by a similar suspect. The Hate Crime Prevention Team is actively investigating these cases, highlighting a crucial community stand against prejudice. Calgarians are encouraged to step forward with any information as these incidents touch on our core values of safety and acceptance. With an increasingly diverse population, Calgary prides itself on being inclusive. Understanding and reporting hate-related incidents is vital for maintaining this ethos. If you've witnessed any part of these events, reach out. Remember, there's no room for hate in our city.
