Tragic Collision on Calgary Pathway

On Thursday, Sept. 18, 2025, a cyclist tragically lost his life following a collision on a pathway under the Reconciliation Bridge in Calgary. The incident occurred around 10:45 a.m. and involved an e-bike rider traveling eastbound who collided with a pathway barrier. CCTV footage revealed that moments before, a woman had manipulated the barrier to encroach onto the bike path. The cyclist, a man in his 80s, was taken to the hospital and, unfortunately, passed away on Friday, Sept. 19, 2025. Police are seeking information and have released images of a woman linked to the case. She is described as having long dark hair tied with a white ribbon and wearing a “Peace for All” shirt. Anyone with information is urged to contact Calgary police or submit anonymous tips to Crime Stoppers.
