Calgary Police Seek Witnesses for Northeast Distraction Theft

Calgary Police are on the hunt for witnesses and dashcam footage following a crafty distraction theft in Sunridge. On Saturday, September 13, 2025, around 12:30 p.m., a man at PartSource on 32 Street N.E. was approached by a man and woman while in his car. The woman placed a fake necklace on him and then stole his real gold necklace, worth $10,000, before fleeing. CCTV footage has been secured, but police are calling for witnesses or anyone with dashcam footage from 12 to 1 p.m. to step forward. The woman suspect is described as 30-35 years old with light-brown hair, wearing a long black dress and carrying a grey purse.
