Tragic Collision on Macleod Trail: A Motorcyclist's Journey Ends
In the early hours of September 17, 2025, a fatal crash on Macleod Trail S. ended the life of a young motorcyclist in his 20s. The rider’s BMW S 1000 RR hit the back of a Hyundai Kona driven by a man in his 60s, just south of the James Mckevitt Road intersection. Sadly, the motorcyclist was thrown from his bike and died at the scene. The car’s driver stayed on-site and was unharmed. Authorities say speed likely played a role, but not impairment. This marks the sixth motorcyclist fatality in Calgary this year out of 27 total fatal collisions. Seen something?
