Early Morning Blaze Leaves One Dead in Calgary Mobile Home
Here's one we spotted on the City Of Calgary Fire Scanner! On October 3, at around 4:30 a.m., fire crews raced to the 2000 block of 86 AV SE after a security guard reported flames. The Calgary Fire Department discovered a tragic scene at a mobile home, extinguishing the fire but finding one fatality inside. Thankfully, the blaze was contained to the single property, averting broader damage. The fire's cause is currently under investigation by both the CFD and CPS Arson Investigators—standard procedure whenever there's a fire fatality. This event underscores the importance of vigilance and community support; residents nearby are urged to share any footage or information with authorities. Calgary has proudly stood resilient through similar challenges, including past fires that prompted city-wide discussions about safety and preparedness. Let’s continue looking out for each other, Calgary!
