The City promises daily updates at 9 p.m. While these numbers may evolve with data verification, it's clear many are eager to have their say. This year’s participation beats the numbers from 2013 and 2017 on the first day but falls short of 2021’s opening turnout of 23,329. Local polling stations, hospitals, and community spots like the CNIB and YW Calgary hosted voters. However, results from care facilities and external trustee elections will come later. With a history of spirited civic involvement, the city once tallied 141,329 advance votes in 2021.
